"I lay a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it."
"For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ." I Cor. 3:10,11
The BCC Mexico mission team has returned from the Aldama Mexico trip. Working with Way Of The Cross ministry out of Harlingen Texas, we completed a new church building in a village of Paso Hondo Mexico. The local pastor had started building the church and had the foundation and side walls up but ran out of resources about a year ago. WOTC helped identify the local pastors need and worked with the BCC team in planning and getting the needed supplies to the church building site. The BCC team installed a new roof, windows, doors, electrical and provided the money for the concrete floor. We ended the building project with a wonderful church dedication service. A chicken dinner followed the dedication service and then we passed out schools supplies, toys, hand knitted afghans, and bibles.
The materials used to finish the church building were purchased from BCC Global Outreach contributions. Thanks BCC for your Faith Promise giving to Global Outreach and for using Scrip, you were an important part of this trip. Based on the local culture, we were told that the people will consider BCC a very important part of the history of their church and that the people will not forget how we helped provide for their need.
We not only worked on the physical church, we also worked on the spiritual church. We went to several other villages sharing our testimonies and sharing the Gospel of Jesus. We saw many people come to the Lord.
We are very thankful for the opportunity that the Lord has given us in being part of this mission trip.
